Criticality Assessments
A
criticality assessment is an essential tool for determining just how
critical each item of plant is to your manufacturing process.
It is
often used to determine what items of plant should be included on a
condition monitoring regime but even if you intend doing CM in-house and
have the time and resources to cover every item of plant it is still a
worthwhile exercise as it puts a value to every piece of plant and lets
everybody involved know just how crucial that item is and the
consequences of a failure.
